 VISION OF THE CAR RACE
 -Heidi Cummins.

IN THE VISION, I SAW A PROFESSIONAL RACING EVENT. (-THIS
SHOULDN'T HAVE SURPRISED ME, WHEN HE SHOWED ME THE
CONNECTION). THIS EVENT WAS MUCH LIKE ONE YOU WOULD SEE
TELEVISED ON T.V. THE STANDS WERE FULL OF SPECTATORS. ALL
THE PROFESSIONAL RACE CARS WERE LINED UP AND READY TO
GO. NATURALLY, ALL THE BEST RACING CARS WERE OUT OF THE
STARTING BLOCK FIRST. EACH OF THES CARS REPRESENTED
PROMINENT COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS, BACKED BY LOTS OF
MONEY AND PRESTIGE. THESE CARS LOOKED SLICK AND
PROFESSIONAL. ALL THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY AND BEST
EQUIPMENT WENT INTO MAKING THESE CARS THE BEST. THEY ALSO
HAD THE BACKING OF THE VERY BEST PIT CREW TEAMS THAT WERE
 HIGHLY TRAINED AND ORGANIZED.

NOT SURPRIZINGLY, ALL THESE CARS WERE OUT IN FRONT EARLY,
ZOOMING AROUND THE TRACK AT VERY HIGH SPEEDS. THEY WERE
DRIVEN BY HIGHLY TRAINED AND SKILLED DRIVERS. THEY WERE ALL
TRYING TO OUTDO EACH OTHER AND THEY WERE JOCKEYING FOR
POSITION AS THEY SPED AROUND THE TRACK. THEY WERE ALL
GOING AS FAST AS THEY COULD, NOT GIVING UP AN INCH TO
 ANYONE.

BUT THERE WAS ALSO ANOTHER RACE CAR IN THIS RACE. IT WAS #
 40. IN CONTRAST TO ALL THE OTHER EXPENSIVE, SLICK RACE CARS,
THIS ONE WAS RATHER DINGY LOOKING, WITH SCRATCHES AND
RUST. IT DIDN'T HAVE THE POLISH AND BIG MONEY SPENT ON IT TO
MAKE IT LOOK PRESENTABLE. BUT IT WAS IN THE RACE
NONETHELESS. IT SEEMED TO RUN OUT OF GAS FREQUENTLY, AND
HAD TO MAKE FREQUENT PIT STOPS. IT ALSO HAD A LESS THAN
PROFESSIONAL LOOKING PIT CREW. IT WAS A RATHER SMALL TEAM
AND NOT THAT HIGHLY TRAINED IN THE TRADITIONAL SENSE. BUT IT
WAS ALL THIS RACE CAR HAD AND IT WAS STILL IN THE RACE.

THE END OF THE RACE WAS APPROACHING AND ALL THE
PROFESSIONAL RACE CARS HAD COMPLETED THEIR LAPS. THEY
WERE NATURALLY ALL TRYING TO COME IN FIRST, SO THE
COMPETITION WAS FEIRCE. AS EACH ONE PASSED THE FINISH LINE,
SURPRISINGLY, NO CHECKERED FLAG WAS WAVED. THIS WAS
UNUSUAL. THERE WERE NO CHEERS FOR THESE CARS AS THEY
 CROSSED THE FINISH LINE.

AT LAST, THE DINGY LOOKING RACE CAR FINALLY CROSSED THE
FINISH LINE. IT WAS THE VERY LAST ONE. ALL THE SPECTATORS IN
THE STANDS STARTED TO CHEER AND REJOICE. THIS CAR WAS
DECLARED THE WINNER OVER THE LOUDSPEAKERS. THE
CHAMPAGNE BOTTLES WERE OPENED AND THE DRIVER WAS
HOISTED ONTO A PERSON'S SHOULDERS. ALL THE PEOPLE WERE
 REJOICING OVER THIS WINNER!

THEN THE HOLY SPIRIT SPOKE TO ME. HE SAID, "THE FIRST SHALL
BE LAST, AND THE LAST SHALL BE FIRST".
I RECOGNIZED ALL THE SLICK PROFESSIONAL RACE CARS TO THE
BIG MONEY MINISTRIES IN THE CHRISTIAN WORLD TODAY, THAT
HAVE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS AT THEIR DISPOSAL. THEY ARE IN
COMPETITION TO SEE WHO WILL GET TO USHER IN THE KINGDOM OF
GOD FIRST. THEY ARE HIGHLY TRAINED IN ALL THE LATEST SKILLS
FOR SOUL WINNING AND HAVE ALL THE STATE-OF-THE-ART
TECHNIQUES FOR BRINGING IN THE HARVEST. EACH ONE EXPECTS
TO BE SUCESSFUL AND BE THE ONE TO COME IN FIRST AND HERALD
THE LORD'S RETURN. BUT THE LORD HAS OTHER PLANS.

THE DINGY , RUN DOWN CAR, ON THE OUTSIDE, LOOKS, BY
APPEARANCES, THAT IT JUST DOESN'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES. IT
MAKES IT AROUND THE RACE TRACK AT MUCH SLOWER SPEED. IT
HAS TO REFUEL SEVERAL TIMES. BY ALL APPEARANCES, IT DOESN'T
HAVE A LOT GOING FOR IT IN THE NATURAL. WHAT IT DOES HAVE IS
ENDURANCE. IT MAY NOT BE SWIFT, IT MAY NOT BE SLICK, BUT IT
HAS SOMETHING THAT IS NOT VISIBLE TO THE EYE.  THIS IS THE ONE
THAT THE LORD HAS CHOSEN TO "WIN" THE RACE. IT HAS BEEN
BEATEN DOWN. IT HASN'T HAD ALL THE RESOURCES THAT THE BIG
NAMES HAVE HAD. BUT IT HAS THE BACKING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. IT
HAS BEEN DECLARED THE WINNER IN GOD'S KINGDOM. THE LORD
SAID THAT THE FIRST SHALL BE LAST AND THE LAST SHALL BE FIRST
IN HIS KINGDOM. THIS IS WHAT THE LORD WILL BE USING IN THE
LAST DAYS FOR HIS GLORY.THIS IS HIS PLAN.IT IS NOT MAN'S
PLAN..... THIS IS GOD'S RACE. I HAVE NOW MADE THE CONNECTION.

Race car vision confirmation
Jim Bramlett
Mar 20, 2002

Dear friends:

This fascinating message came to me today and I just have to pass it on. Note the vision below reported by the ANZAC Prophetic List in New Zealand, and just ten days later an actual event that came out just like the vision. Also note the interpretation, which is certainly scriptural.

Be encouraged if you sometimes feel like an old, beat-up race car which appears to be coming in last! God will help you finish the race, and win!

Jim

Dear Anzac List, (and friends)

I am not a big NASCAR fan, but I happened to catch a news blip on a NASCAR race this past weekend that is an interesting natural parallel to this vision sent out last week by Heidi Cummins.

Heidi's vision of the car race was written March 7th. The Darlington SC 400 NASCAR race took place this past weekend (March 17th). The car who won this race was #40 (the same as in the vision), and he went from dead last in the start to win in the end. You can read more about it at http://www.nascar.com/2002/news/headlines/wc/03/17/darlington_lead/index.html

Marlin avoids wreck, wins at Darlington

By Tim Packman, Turner Sports Interactive

9:57 AM EST (1457 GMT)

DARLINGTON, S.C. - Sterling Marlin went from worst to first to win the Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 at historical Darlington Raceway.

Battling from the tail end of the 43-car field due to a pre-race engine change, Marlin took the lead from Dale Earnhardt Jr. on lap 251 of the 293-lap race to claim his second victory of the season.

The race had two incidents where the leader was taken from contention after contact with lap traffic.

Marlin, in the No. 40 Coors Dodge, was running third when race leader Tony Stewart was involved in the second wreck, but was able to avoid any trouble. Marlin's patience and experience at the 1.366-mile track paid off with his 10th career victory in 544 starts.

Following Marlin was Elliott Sadler in second for his second top-five finish of the year. Kevin Harvick rallied to finish third.

"I knew yesterday we had a good car in practice," Marlin said in Victory Lane. "Tony (Glover, team manager) looked at the motor and found a bad lifter. We decided not to take the chance and just put another one and go to the rear.

"We just took our time and eased up through there. Our car was really good on long runs, but they could beat us on the short ones. The longer the run, the better the car got.

"Dale Earnhardt taught me something here a couple of years ago. It has to do with down here in Turns 3 and 4. I learned from him. So, I just tried it today coming off Turn 4."

Marlin talked about how he was able to avoid the multi-car wreck and then pass Gordon for the win. Gordon did led a race-high 176 laps but finished ninth after receiving right-front grill damage.

"Pure luck, pure luck," Marlin said. "I hope everybody was all right after that wreck. The No. 24 is really good at missing wrecks and I just followed him.

"I almost caught the No. 20 car when it was coming back down the track."

Sadler finished second for the second time this year -- he was also second at Daytona. Sadler started sixth and stayed in the top 10 for all but six laps in the 293-lap event. He tried to give Marlin a run for his money at the end, but Sadler's tires were worn out from the harsh Darlington surface.

"I just got a little bit loose there at the end," Sadler said. "Sterling and them have their stuff together. I tried to catch him but I kept getting looser and looser. I was afraid if I kept burning up my right rear I would have been a lot worse.

"I have to thank Dale Jr. for letting me go there at the end to make a run for the winner. It was a good day. We had great pit stops all day and this is exactly what we needed."

Harvick enjoyed a spirited battle in the No. 29 Goodwrench Chevrolet with Earnhardt Jr. Harvick was able to get by him and register his first top-five finish this season.

"That was a lot of fun, both our cars were out of control there at the end," Harvick said. "He's not like a lot of guys that get mad at when you run into him -- he seems to like it.

"I think I only scraped the wall once here today, that's pretty good for a 400-mile race on this track. We were just tight in and tight off the corners."

Stewart was removed from the car and a helicopter took him to the Carolina Medical Systems in Florence, S.C. He was conscious but complaining of pain in his lower back, numbness and tingling in the left foot.

He underwent a CT scan of the head, back and abdomen.

Gordon's crew brought him in to make repairs to the right-front grill by placing a patch over the damaged area. With his ninth-place finish, he was able to notch his third top-10 of the year.

Pole-sitter Ricky Craven was running behind race leader Steve Park when they both crashed on lap 39. Craven ran into Park, who had just made contact with Stacy Compton.

The two were not injured. Park was credited with completing 133 laps and a 39th-place finish in his return race, but did lead 19 laps.

Craven finished 41st after leading the first 18 laps.
