branding-iron mark placed on everyone. Such primitive means would

electronic networks would allow an antichrist today to keep tabs on
everyone more easily than a first-century antichrist could have done. So
inventions like the biochip give us a better explanation of how the mark
of the Beast could be implemented, but they do not necessarily herald
the mark of the Beast.
